About this ebook

On June 17, 2013, after suffering from chronic depression, a bipolar disorder, and a borderline personality disorder for years, author Rania Eid decided to end her life again, after many attempts. She had no pulse and was taken to the hospital. Though the doctors held little hope, God had a plan for her. After forty-eight hours, she opened her eyes and began the road to recovery. But then, she faced another challenge… A divorce.

In A Walking Miracle, Eid shares her story of how she overcame these critical setbacks and got back on her feet. She tells how she knew, deep down, that God had a special purpose in mind for her life and future. He awakened her faith, and through that, Eid ultimately found peace.

Eid tells how she believes God brings trials into our lives to give us more of Him. The purpose of the trials is that we don’t rely on ourselves in those moments, but look to Him for salvation, hope, and joy. We need to lean on God, fix our eyes on His glory, and cling to the truth found in Jesus because He is always enough for us.

    Jeremiah 29:11-14

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

When writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen on your behalf. Never forget why you started, continue to set your life on fire, and always seek the presence of those who fan those flames. As often as the wind may shift your direction and you quickly seek protection, remember that in that moment, you either define the moment or you let the moment define you.

God brings trials into our lives to give us more of Him. The purpose for the trials is that we might not rely on ourselves in those moments, but look to Him for salvation, hope, and joy. The purpose is that we would lean on God, fix our eyes on His glory, and cling to the truth that is found in Jesus because He is always enough for us.

This is the truth that resounds in the depths to which God calls us. He invites us to step out in order to follow Him, dream, plan, and build. He invites us to put our hands to work for
