Jaclyn Clark

Jaclyn Clark is twenty-year-old college student, who has always had an influential approach when it came to reading and writing. From an early age, she developed a “deep” love for writing and being creative in all aspects. Jaclyn, is someone who wants to reach her goals and eventually become a child and family social worker in the future. Because of this, Jaclyn is someone who loves helping others, treating people with respect and dignity, while understanding that “we all have a story to tell in our lives”. Even after her mother’s death, she still tries to live her “best” life with happiness and have an optimistic perspective, when it comes to meeting new people and experiencing new opportunities that she is given. Through the reading of River Hollow, Jaclyn hopes in return, that young minds can escape “everyday life” and enjoy the “adventure, twists and turns, and a little danger”, that life can sometimes bring upon us, when we least expect it.

    Summer in July

I t was summer in July, and Becca Williamson was very excited for what the rest of the summertime consisted of. As she lived in River Hollow, the activities consisted of swimming, canoeing, ziplining, and watching the spectacular fireworks show on the Fourth of July. The first day of summer for Becca consisted of watching Star Wars movies, making risotto with her mother, and writing in her journal, discussing what she wanted to experience that summer. Now as she went to bed that night, she went to close her windows, and as she went to each window, she closed them, but as she went to the last window, she saw a star and made a wish that she would get to experience every single thing on her list.
