DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to the Lord God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come. He alone is worthy; He alone is almighty and has been able to take me out of my witchcraft background.
I dedicate this book also to my husband, Elijah, and my children, Asher, Noah, and Ollie. In times of hardship, they can surprise me when I am down. They lift me, and I love them with all my heart. You have changed my life forever. And to all the pastors and friends who helped me become who I am today in the church and outside the church, who have worked so hard to make this book and my life a success. I seriously can’t believe where I am today, how fortunate I am, and how blessed I am. I am living proof of a second chance in life. Thank you all.
Again I want to say a big thank you to my lovely husband, Elijah, who has helped deliver me from the powers of darkness and the forces of my father’s house. He stood by me in prayer and support all the time. I love you with all my heart. I am grateful to God that I have such a gifted husband who preaches the gospel and shares my ideas and emotions. The Lord has used you mightily in so many ways. I am taken out of bewitchment, psychosis, and out of those things that were worrying me from my foundation.
And finally, I want to say a big thank you to my readers. Thank you for taking the time to read my life story. I hope you will find a lively church where you can serve the Lord Jesus with all your heart and mind and all your being. The Lord will bless you as you do so.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
FOREWORD
This book is written in acknowledgement to the Lord God Almighty, the God of the universe. According to the BBC News, it is clear that many communities and families are affected by the coronavirus, COVID-19. People are isolated and depressed because of losing their jobs or being on furlough and not knowing how their futures will look like. According to the BBC News, people are afraid to go shopping. They don’t know if they want to have a vaccination against COVID-19. It seems that our lives are at stake. It causes many mental health issues, such as anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorders, psychosis, depression, and many other conditions that we did not expect in such an unprecedented time. It is a fact that, according to the BBC News, many families and individuals are facing mental health problems because of becoming jobless. Older adults are stuck in their houses and isolated, which has caused considerable problems in modern society worldwide.
I recommend this book because it gives a clear picture of what psychosis is and how it can affect someone’s life. We must seek help from family and friends. Now more than ever, it seems very important to search for a living God who can help us in all our day-to-day problems. There are problems we cannot solve ourselves, especially when it comes to mental health issues. The search for something outside ourselves is more needed now than ever.
Church statistics show that even in this pandemic, church growth is possible because families and individuals are more aware that nothing is secure in our lives. If we seek help outside ourselves, we can become free from these mental health problems. Luke 4:18 (NKJV) says, The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted. To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind. To set at liberty those who are depressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the lord.
Is this not a fantastic idea that something great is there to help us?
