    ***Gratitude***

I must first and foremost give thanks to my Heavenly Father, the Almighty God, and the One who is so mindful of me. Father, it was your amazing grace and your enabling power that upheld me and strengthened me in my weakest hours. Through Your miraculous power and grace, You spoke to me through my tears, fears, and despair. My heart’s desire is that I will forever live a life that is pleasing to You and reflective of Your love. I will always be indebted to You.

    ***Loving Memory***

This book is in loving memory of my parents, my three brothers, my sister, and spiritual father/pastor.

To my parents who encouraged me, in their unique way, to pursue excellence and growth. More importantly, they were the instruments that God used to open the door for me to experience spiritual life through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    Acknowledgments

My mother had many sayings about life. One of the most memorable ones was Don’t forget the bridge that brought you over. These words have always stayed with me. It would be arrogant of me to think that I got through the Storm of Destruction on my own. There were several individuals and churches that God used to navigate me through the storm. It can take a village to get us through the difficulties of life.

    Family and Friends

    1) My husband, who always supported me in any endeavor I pursued.

    2) My sister, who listened, prayed, and gave me words of encouragement through scriptures, books, and sermon referrals.

    3) My nephew, who encouraged me to share my story.

    4) A wonderful woman of God who invested the Word in me since my youth. She remains my spiritual advisor and confidant.

    Churches

    1) FCOG where I received the powerful Word of God that strengthened, encouraged, and gave me renewed hope.

    2) SCC whose church doors were opened twenty-four hours for worship and prayer. The Friday night services were a great strength to me.

I sincerely thank you and pray for God’s continual blessings upon each of you.

    Much love!
