Why Don’t You Make Gingerbread?

My cookie boutique, Rebecca’s Cookie Confections, is popular all year, but unsurprisingly, orders increase exponentially during the holidays.

I make sugar cookies sprinkled with festively colored sugars, and peppermint meltaways and peanut butter thumbprints. Pistachio-cranberry rugelach, Italian Christmas cookies, Norwegian wreaths, Swedish snowballs, and more

And every year, I get the same question, over and over, in some format:

Why don’t you make gingerbread?

Because people talk, and would likely compare answers over a
