- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book looks in depth at where anxiety comes from and how it gets in the way of having good communication and healthy relationships. There are helpful exercises to help readers discover the roots of their anxiety and practical guidance for overcoming it once and for all.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is written in language that is simple and neutral enough to appeal to a variety of communication styles. The author provides many articulate conversation prompts and plenty of space for both parties to write, explain, and engage with their perspectives. I like that this book provides short story examples, bulleted lists, charts, and other graphics to break up points. It is very clearly organized and consistent, making it a great tool to keep handy for needful times. You can simply flip it open to the table of contents, find the topic you need to address, and follow the clear action plans provided in the section. There is also a thorough index which allows couples to quickly locate information related to specific topics like sex, finances, and personal boundaries.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is a “must-read” for couples who want to make their relationships more satisfying. It helps us to understand our and our partner’s needs in a way that can significantly enhance connection and intimacy. And, also, it provides ways to handle our inevitable disappointments with each other. These two factors alone can make a wonderful difference in our lives. But the third part of the book is an eye-opening explanation of our needs and fears regarding sex and how to find ways to improve sexual satisfaction through communication, understanding and exploration
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If you feel like your marriage is in trouble and you're seeking out help, this is a great tool to use inside therapy. The questions are fantastic, the explorations and exercises are deep. Because this is a book that asks very pointed questions, the answers could actually create more conflict rather than resolution if you're not working with a therapist. As a therapist, I would highly recommend this book if you are choosing to work with couples. I'm a huge fan of attachment style therapy and this book approaches attachment style within a couple. If you're already having challenges within your relationship, asking difficult questions is necessary to help rebuild and repair the relationship. So, having a trained professional with you as you analyze these questions and answers can help you both be more accurate in your expression and understanding of each other.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent, very thorough workbook. I bought this because my spouse is hesitant to go to actual therapy sessions, and I had hoped a workbook would be less intimidating. If your spouse is committed enough to go through this book with you I’d say there’s a lot of hope for your marriage, even if you’re struggling. It’s basic but also allows you to go a bit deeper, the questions certainly promote conversation and they aren’t shallow. Overall good read.
