Life in Color: Trading the Old for Something Completely New
()
About this ebook
Do you feel like you’re simply trying to survive each day? Do you think what you’ve experienced has had the final say? Maybe you think: Things will never change. I’ll never be free. God doesn’t even care anymore.
Author Laurene Sandlin knows what it’s like to be stuck in the motions of a life that’s gone gray. In Life in Color, she shares the story of some of her most difficult and trying times. But she also narrates how she found true color and gained freedom. Through her journey, she has seen how God has made the way for us to lay the past to rest and embrace the new right in front of us. She tells how we no longer have to be bound by our shame, regret, or anything else our feelings tell us. We were made to thrive.
In Life in Color, Sandlin inspires and encourages us to transform our lives by owning where we’ve been through the lens of God’s radical love for us. Our rescue is real, and we can be powerfully used for the kingdom of God. Redemption starts today.

About the Author
Foreword
My dear sweet Laurene: when her electric soul caught my attention during our freshman year of college, I knew we needed to be friends. Her passion for life and seemingly endless amounts of joy had the ability to brighten anyone’s day. She made English and geology classes so much more enjoyable. Laurene was the kind of friend I never knew I needed.
Throughout the six years of our friendship, I could have never known the true impact her and her words would have on me. Thanks to her and the way God speaks through her, here we are. The one thing about Laurene that was apparent from the beginning of our friendship was the way that, even in the most stressful and intense situations, she always knew what to say, and she always said it so beautifully. When you are struggling, her eloquent words bring light through the darkness. God speaks through her in such a way that you cannot deny how truthful her words are.
Laurene and her personality like to jump from one thing to the next in sheer eagerness to experience new things. She came to me one morning and said she had started writing a book. As I read the first couple of paragraphs, I applauded her and pushed her to keep writing. A couple of months passed, and I didn’t hear much about the progress of the book; but then a year later, she came to me, determined to pursue this dream. Two weeks later the book you are about to read was complete. It was very apparent that over the course of those two weeks, the words
