    Sammie walked into the empty break room at her father’s law firm and sat down to eat her lunch. She had been working here part-time as a law clerk for the past year, and when she completed her degree after the next semester, she would be working here full time. She was very proud of all that she accomplished, and even though there were certain to be some who would say that she had it handed to her, she knew for a fact that she had earned her opportunities here.

    She opened the insulated lunch bag and pulled out her salad and fork and started eating. Sammie took a few bites of her salad and then remembered that she had some tea in the fridge, so she got up and went over to retrieve. That was the first time she saw Allan.

    As she was walking back to her table, he poked his head into the room. Hi, sorry, don’t mean to interrupt your lunch, but could you tell me where the Ginsburg Conference Room is located? I think I’m lost.

    Sammie smiled
