There was rarely anything I loathed as much as school. First of all I had to wake up at six o’clock in the morning to get myself ready. My family lived on the outskirts of the school district and I didn’t exactly fit in with the richer girls at school.

My parents both worked full-time to pay the bills and this was the first year I wouldn’t be going to ballet class right after school. I started hating ballet ever since I hit puberty.

For some reason the gods decided that instead of me getting big breasts, wide hips and a big butt, I would instead get taller. I was basically a stringbean and the butt of other girl’s jokes.

At the beginning of ninth grade I already stood at five feet and eight inches in height and still wore a size zero to two in womens clothing. Meanwhile, at school; girls wore midriffs and short shorts that accentuated their bodies.

I would often pray for wide hips but my mother herself was rather tall and trim standing at six feet tall and her breasts were barely a size ‘B’ cup. She actually told me that her breasts grew after having me and she wasn’t very popular in school so instead she chose to become a bookworm.

My mother worked as a geologist. That’s where she and my father met. I was not interested in geology. I just wanted to be a regular girl and date a cute and popular boy. Was that too much to ask for?

Friday came around and I couldn’t wait. Friday’s were my favorite because it was the last day I had to wake up early until Monday came back around, so I was now free as a bird. Myself, Trudie and Gabby made our way from school to the local shopping mall where we’d hang out on Fridays.

As we made our way over to the mall, we were so busy laughing with each other that I failed to realize that I walked directly in front of a car that began entering into the mall’s parking lot. The car slammed on it’s brakes and swerved to avoid me as I screamed, jumped back and fell onto my butt on the sidewalk. The car then immediately pulled up ahead and the driver hopped out.

The car that almost hit me was a red convertible Ferrari. The driver looked to be a blonde teen boy and in the back seat were two business looking women. The women had portfolios in their hands and wore pant suits.

The boy driving the car jumped out and jogged over to me. I’m so sorry, he said as he put his hand out to help me get back to my feet.

It’s fine, I said as I ignored his hand while Trudie and Gabbie helped me to my feet. My girls hugged me as I wiped the tears from my eyes.

Listen, the blonde boy continued as he seemed to earnestly care about my situation; I feel terrible, please let me make it up to you and your friends, he stated with the utmost sincerity.

I took my time and stared directly into his
