    Alternate Dimensions - Sandy Stone

    CHAPTER ONE

Boom! The liquid electrolyte that Harris dropped on a scrap of refined mechanical piece reacted violently and his pen fell beside it and got swallowed up.

Harris quickly turned around to see if anyone was coming though he locked his laboratory already. The occurrence just now shocked him but he was overjoyed, a huge smile slowly formed on his face as if he was smiling in slow motion. He jumped high in the air and stopped to control himself, not letting it get him act childishly but he soon jumped again and screamed even.

Outside the laboratory was Harris’s lab assistant - Marvin walking towards the lab when he heard the scream that startled him. He froze on the spot but suddenly rushed to open the door but his pass card wasn’t working, he was worried that something dangerous might have happened to Harris knowing fully well the kind of exotic experiments and inventions Harris loved to please himself with.

Dang it! Why won’t this door open? Marvin got frustrated.

The door suddenly opened and he saw Harris who was unable to hold in his now vibrant expression, he searched and scrutinized Harris who stood still throughout the search.

Why are you not saying anything? Marvin finally stopped and looked Harris in the eye.

My pen just went away, poof! Harris made a gesture and laughed as if he had the whole world in his right hand.

What? Excuse me? Marvin didn’t get the point of what Harris said.

I finally made progress on my secret project Harris looked  at him.

Ohh, I see what you mean now. Okay cool, but did you have to scream like a woman! Marvin was annoyed.

Hey! Didn’t your president teach you how to speak politely to national level scientists? Harris smirked.

I don’t care, so did you finally travel in time? Other than your pen poofing away? Marvin folded his arms and waited for more details expectantly.

Harris took a deep breath as a realization struck him bluntly.

No, not yet. I only made fundamental progress and I can put an end to a lot of assertions and assumptions. Nothing like a solid foundation to build my plan Harris found himself rubbing his hands together.

You’re doing it again with your hands. You already are one of the world’s greatest and amazing scientists with vast and weird knowledge, is that not enough for you? Wasting your time on something as impossible as time travel is just too sad. You don’t even have a wife, not even a girlfriend Marvin said with concern.

Just leave me to my goal and keep your long mouth shut about this Harris said unapologetically.

Whatever! Marvin moved to a corner of the laboratory and tapped the hologram displayed in the air thus being the control to open a section of drawers beside Harris.

Harris watched Marvin’s movements. Marvin opened the drawer and took out a medium sized jar containing green pills that was labelled ‘Green Clot'.

Who gave you the permission to touch my pills? Harris said sternly with a cruel look in his eyes.
