It was a cool autumn day in the Volunteer state. Orange, yellow,
and dark red leaves slowly fell from the East Tennessee trees as the
Ceras drove home from church. Ten-year-old Elizabeth was quietly thinking about Bible study and the church service while her three brothers looked at their football cards. Before she realized it, Elizabeth’s dad pulled into their driveway and opened the van door for the kids to hop out.
Come on, let’s finish the Lego castle!
Paul, Elizabeth’s eight-year-
old brother, yelled as they all piled out of the van and darted for the house.
Patrick, make sure you change your pants first!
