Getting off the bed , Zaya searches around on the floor trying to find her clothes in the dark. The moment her hand comes in contact with what she believes to be her clothes, the light from the lamp behind her illuminates the room. She can’t prevent the exhausted sigh that she releases as she grabs her pants and stands up.
When can I see you again?
The deep gruffness of the voice has her mind wanting to hop right back in the bed. Instead, she shrugs her shoulders and slides her pants on. Right now, I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get away again, so it may be a while.
Not trusting herself to turn around, afraid she may give into the thoughts her mind is beginning to take her, she picks her shirt up off of the floor continuing to ready herself to leave.
Really?
, sitting up on the bed and placing his feet on the floor, he runs his hand through his hair before resting it on the side of his face using it to prop himself up to stay awake. Taking a second to contemplate her response, he considers what she might truly want from him. Tell me, do you want to see me again?
The question causes her actions to pause. Hesitantly turning her body around to finally face him, she forces herself to look anywhere in the room avoiding making eye contact with him. The sound of the bed shifting as he gets off of it draws her line of vision in his direction, instantly making eye contact with him that she was desperately trying to avoid. Looking into those captivating blue eyes, she slowly nods, I’ll let you know when I can get away.
Walking up to her, he raises his hand to gently stroke the side of her face before sliding his fingers under her chin. Lifting her head up to continue gazing into her beautiful brown eyes, he inches his face closer to hers. Okay Sweetness.
After calling her by the nickname he gave her because of how sweet she feels to him in every sense, he places his lips on hers. Savoring the shared kiss between the two of them, loving the feeling of her lips against his own, he presses his body closer to hers. Lingering there for a few seconds more, he finds the strength to pull away from her, staring into her eyes. You know I’ll drop everything I’m doing for you... you know that, right?
I know Matt. You say the same thing every time I leave you.
, she softly chuckles as she steps back from him. The distance created between them helping to put her thoughts at ease. Though she’s not as close to him, she can still see the change in his features as if sadness is weighing down on the softness
