The Resurrectionist: Will You Come For Me: Resurrectionist Series

About this ebook
I come from a town divided. The righteous on one side, the so-called unrighteous on the other. Half of them sing in the choir, the other half talk to the dead. Sheep and goats; at least that's what the preachers tell us. Me, I'm neutral ... or so I thought. When you're from a place nicknamed, The Devil's Rendition of Sedona Arizona, eventually you'll have to choose.
My friend wants me to join this ghost hunting society. I don't know if I should. I'm not really into the whole supernatural vibe. If he wants to sneak around at night investigating haunted houses, that's cool, just don't drag me along. Made famous by a documentary on the paranormal some fifteen years ago; it's obvious Millersville is hiding an ominous past. The town's booming ghost tourism industry is famous for attracting soothsayers and psychics, spirit hunters and paranormal investigators. Why go stirring up trouble? What's the point? Some things are better left alone ... right?
Oh, I almost forgot, my name is William Stark. I'm a bit of a loner, forgive me if I don't always pick up on social cues. I'm a little awkward in that sense which makes me pretty bad with the ladies. There's this one girl through, Allison, she means everything. She has a way of drawing things out that I never knew were in me. What things you ask? Feelings and emotions ... I can't stand them. They give me the willies and the heebie-jeebies. Nope, I bury 'em deep in the basement of my soul where they can never see the light of day. It's better that way. My counselor will tell you otherwise, that suppressing emotion will lead to anger. I swear that dude's from another world though. I guess I'll take my chances. How much trouble could it cause anyway?

Will You Come For Me
You can’t be serious.
Serious as a heart attack.
Haha, so funny I almost forgot to laugh. Didn’t know you were such a comedian, Will. It’s a good look for you.
Humor is the only response a person can have when dealing with that documentary, if you can even call it that. More like an infomercial if you want my honest opinion.
Not really, but I’m guessing I don’t have a choice.
I have absolutely zero interest in watching that thing.
I’ve seen it at least seven times already. You’ve lived in this forsaken town way longer than I have. If it’s fake news, why won’t you watch it? Are you scared?
"It’s a total con job, Justin. Don’t you see that? This whole town ... Millersville. The legend of the deranged Sunny Miller. Total cliche. They just borrowed the idea from Halloween, you know. The town’s cookie cutter knock off of Michael Myers or something. Do you know who funded that film? The restaurant owners. They’re the ones with hands in the pockets of the city council members who purchased the old asylum. It’s all a promotional gig to drum up business and get people spending money. It’s nothing more than that."
"Ghost tourism is booming in popularity, Will. You ever seen that old Ghost Hunters show on the Syfy channel? They’re starting to make new episodes again. There’s a reason for it. People eat that stuff up, man."
Well, I can see that you do.
"I would love to be a paranormal investigator! Exploring creepy old houses in the middle of the night. The adrenaline pumping through your veins. Never
