Sometimes life seems like too hot to handle, jobs are lost, relationships break, people die, financial troubles loom, famines are experienced, poverty and stagnancy are recorded, bad health take over homes, bareness affects homes, while spirit of backwardness take tolls of lives. Witchcraft chains that scatter hope bind souls to one spot. The evil chain behind it is what this book is all about.

No one is free from satanic opposition. God created us for glory, but Satan marks us for destruction. You must be violent in prayer, before you can achieve great things of life. There is no free lunch anywhere. You must wrestle for freedom.

Something has to be done to turn your captivity around. Every oppression has an end. This is the reason this book is written. To break every manner of chain, enemy used to captivate destiny.

It is fatal to be in chain. Enemies are cruel. They want you to be in chain till eternity. It is you that must be violent against their decision to keep you stagnant and be a failure. There is no man that is free from this battle. There is no one that is not being attacked by the enemy. You are not free neither from evil chain. Every chain of darkness designed for you shall break to pieces by fire!

Brethren, your case is not close until you decide to close it. Don’t give up, fight on in faith, you are born to win. Be violent in prayer. The degree of your violence in prayer determines the victory that awaits you. It is time you count spoils not loss, triumph not defeat.

CHAPTER ONE

BREAKING THE CHAINS OF DARKNESS

Witchcraft chain is one of the evil instruments used by dark powers to oppress and silence people in the spirit. To be in chain is evil, diminishing and awkward to a living. A chain can be defined as, a series of usually metal links or rings connected to or fitted into one another and used for various purposes. Chains can be used for positive purpose, as well as negative. Chain in the spirit is different from physical chain.

Our purpose is to discuss spiritual chain, also called witchcraft chain or the chain of darkness. Witchcraft chain has silenced many people un-noticed. Witchcraft chains cannot be seen with naked eyes but the effects can be noticed.

To be chained means one is tied down to one spot or not allowed to move about freely. When we talk of chain, it means you don’t have freedom. When we talk of chain it means, a person is in shame. You are treated as a disgrace in the society. Chain is meant for sinners, law breaker and prisoners. Your thinking faculty can be chained; this means the brain is not working perfectly. Such person may be into drug or is insane. A person who commits evil can be chained. A person who commits murder can be chained. A person; who robbed, kidnap or is a bandit, can be chained. So, when we say a person is chained it means the person is close to being condemned. A person reserved for judgment will be chained. Lingering in sin represents one is in chain. To be locked up in a confined place, means chain. To be in the wilderness of life connotes one is chained. Anyone in the pit of darkness connotes being chained.

Paul and Silas on that day were going to the prayer ground. They saw a lady who was a slave girl that had power to prophesy and predict things to come. She was a satanic prophetess. She make her master live on what they get from it. People come from far and wide for consultation. They come to know what they can do for a living and what went wrong in their lives. This little girl will predict and be paid. This is the source of income of her master. This maid knew who Paul and Silas were without been told. He troubled them by identifying who they were. This did not go well with Apostle Paul. This little girl did it for many days. The heart of Paul was troubled. He turned at her and rebuked the spirit in her to come out. And, instantly, the spirit came out of her. This act angered her master. They took Paul and Silas to the magistrate and they were jailed.

Paul and Silas were in Roman Empire or Roman Kingdom not Israel. They were against what Paul and Silas preached as it wasn’t the custom of Roman citizen. This is enough to nail them. They don’t know Jesus that Paul and Silas preached. Is it not Jesus that was killed, they would ask. But, it is in the name of Jesus they rebuked the girl, yet they were not convinced.
