Like you, I am an imperfect human being, and I have experienced firsthand the torment and misery these things can inflict upon the human soul. I have experienced how, out of deep wounds, these things can manipulate our thoughts, feelings, and volition and destroy our relationships and even ourselves. I know what it is like to feel all alone and like no one truly understands the hell that's being experienced on the inside daily. You may even be in the grips of depression and feeling like your soul is fading into a black hole of hopelessness and despair at this moment, but I want to let you know that there is hope and freedom for you! There is One who is able and willing to bring your soul out of prison!

Introduction

Before taking your soul on this journey, I believe it is necessary to first provide you with a brief understanding of what your soul is and where it is located. According to 1 Thessalonians 5:23 in the Bible, every human being is made up of three parts; a spirit, a soul and a body.

Your spirit is the part of you that gives you God awareness; it is the deepest part of you that gives you the ability to communicate with God, since God is Spirit (see John 4:24). The outer most part of you is your body (flesh), which consists of the five senses that give you the ability to communicate with the physical environment around you, and gives you environmental awareness, like knowing when it’s hot or cold, wet or dry, and so on.

The soul is that part of you which is located between your spirit and your body; it is the central part of you, the true you, or your unique self. It gives you self-awareness and the ability to contemplate yourself and to communicate with yourself and others. It is made up of three parts; intellect, will and emotions, and expresses itself through those three parts in three ways. With the intellect it says, I think, with the will it says, I want or I desire and with the emotions it says, I feel. The problem is, most of us are not in touch with this inner self, our soul. Yet, inside the soul is where everything you experience in life, whether good or bad, is stored and which shapes your outlook on life and
