About this ebook
Sensei, a wise Martial Arts Master and ancient wisdom teacher and his hand selected "Council of Champions" help train five diverse young apprentices, known as "The Waddles". When the "Gong of Amazement" is struck, a "Council of Champions Member" miraculously appears out of the "Ice Fountain of Knowledge." The Waddles never know who will show up. It could be the magical, mystical KANE, uptight, law-abiding BABU or upbeat LANKY LANA, but each is excited to share their knowledge and physically train The Waddles. The Council Members demonstrate their own signature exercise techniques to music-from Aikido and Karate to Kung Fu and Yoga. The Waddles are eager to follow along, even if they end up tripping over their gawky Penguin flippers. After a short exercise session, the Council Member shares their own particular brand of wisdom, activating a fun, thrilling and exciting adventure for The Waddles. The kids are transported through the "Vortex of Many Voyages" to faraway places and mysterious lands. They may bump into FLOG and PINCH, the mischievous minions who answer to the evil King PONG (Penguins Of No Good) dumping garbage all over Fancytown or they might stumble upon strange beasts like the colossal HAKEN, who wreaks chaos and destruction because he's simply misunderstood. Whatever The Waddles are up to, their wise Sensei and Professor Penwright, the Red Herring librarian, always keep a close watch on them by peering into the "Scroll of a Thousand Eyes". No matter where their zany and fantastical journeys take them, Jayden, Eva, Chloe, Lukas and Olivia must apply the wisdom they learned in order to defeat their archenemies and make it back to the Red Herring Dojo.

I
t’s a beautiful day on the outskirts of Plankton Junction, and a long-legged crane is running for its life, jumping over logs and dashing and crashing through bushes. The out-of-control crane runs right by a couple of Plankton Junction farmers.
Hey, Bobby Joe. That crane sure is in a hurry.
You ain’t wrong about that, Jim Bob.
Suddenly, a giant metal leg contraption smashes into the ground from behind the bushes. The sounds of shifting gears and hydraulics being pushed to their limits clatter. A loud squawking noise comes across in the background, and a few white feathers fly about in a cloud, spewing them into the air above the bushes.
Meanwhile, we get our first look at the Red Herring Dojo, which looks like a few Asian-styled buildings out of Japan that surround a courtyard. It has a fancy fountain in the middle of it. This is a sacred location where one of the most well-known Sensei masters teaches ancient styles of martial arts and ancient heavenly wisdom, handed down to chosen and special students.
We hear the voices of some younger kids who are our heroes, the Waddles
. They are the students and are all best friends at the Dojo, where they learn the valuable lessons of the martial arts and the spiritual wisdom of God’s teachings. Their names are Jayden, Olivia, Lukas, Eva, and Chloe; they are gathered for a lesson.
JAYDEN will do anything for a laugh and is great at almost any kind of sport. He loves competition and sometimes gets carried away trying to bait others into a challenge, much to their chagrin. However, everyone eventually comes around just because he’s such a clown. Jayden enjoys being the leader and can get annoyed when Sensei chooses someone else to take the responsibility. Because winning is important, Jayden can be self-absorbed and has a hard time putting himself into another’s flippers. But soon enough, he’s acting like a ham and cracking a joke, and everything’s forgotten. Being the life of the party has its perks.
EVA loves using her mind. She’s a bright and inquisitive girl who’s always asking questions. Eva loves to learn, but sometimes her intellect makes her come off as a
