Introduction
Over the past 25 years, I have counseled and coached men in various settings. Almost every man I talk to deals with two main questions on one level or another. What does it mean to be a man?
and How do I spend time with God?
The Thrival Man Devotional series is a response to both of these questions.
First off, this devotional series provides a Biblical perspective to what it means to be a godly man in today’s modern world. A Thrival Man is someone who chooses not to just survive life based upon the world’s standards, simply hoping for something better to come along. Rather, a Thrival Man is a man who chooses to live a thriving life in spite of the circumstances around him—what Jesus, in John 10:10, refers to as the abundant
life He came to give us.
In regard to the second question, when I ask men why they don’t spend time with God, the most common responses are: I don’t know what to do
or I don’t have time.
The Thrival Man Devotional series also addresses these concerns. It provides content you can walk through on a daily basis. And you only need to carve out 15 minutes of your day to complete the devotional.
The bottom line is, this world is in desperate need of more godly men who are constantly and consistently pursuing Christ—men who refuse to live by the world’s standards and definitions of what it means to be a man.
The Warrior’s Way is the second devotional in The Thrival Man 30-Day Devotional series. This devotional is in direct response to
