Jennifer Heapes
Jennifer Heapes has always had a passion for writing and enjoys reading many different book genres. Harbouring a soft spot for romance, Jennifer particularly enjoys writing love poems. She married her husband in 2014 and, after online searches failed to produce the perfect wedding reading for the ceremony, she decided to write one herself. Hence, the idea for A Journey down the Aisle: A Wedding Poetry Collection was born. Jennifer hopes this book will make the task of finding a perfect wedding poem less daunting for future brides and grooms. She now lives with her husband in the South East of England. She is currently working on her next project, and hopes that this poetry collection will become the first of many.

Introduction
Your wedding day is fast approaching. That dream you’ve always had of that perfect day is finally around the corner. You have already begun planning every detail, and you know exactly how you would like every second of your special day to pan out. Maybe you have been planning this wedding for a few months, or maybe years — or perhaps, like me, you have been planning this wedding longer than you have been with your partner.
Before you immerse yourself in this collection, I would like to tell you a little story. A story about how I started writing poems about love, and about one of the most important days of your life. The story starts many years before my own wedding day…
To say I have been writing poems and stories since I was a little girl would not be entirely accurate. I was born with the imagination for storytelling, but not the confidence to write any of it down.
