I was born and raised in a beautiful family in Malaysia. Ever since I was in my early teens, I was keen on God and His existence. I had a problem with death and dying. The question was, What will happen if my parents die or if I die? The next question was, Why was I born into this world? Then the questions went on with, Why are some people born without arms and legs, blind and deaf, and many other congenital disabili ties?
I usually feel sorry and sad for people with such afflictions. Sometimes I think about it when I go to bed at night. There are days I am anxious and terrified about taking my last breath, dying, and leaving everyone behind, especially my loved ones and my parents.
My dad taught me how to pray, and he also reads the Mahabharata scriptures to me. Mahabharata is a Hindu scripture, and we are a Hindu family. The scriptures teach about implementing its spiritual precepts in everyday life. Long story short, all I wanted was for God to talk to me, give me the answers to my burning questions, and draw me close to Him. I used to attend Friday prayer in the temple. My mom encouraged me to pray to other Hindu goddesses as well, to guide me in my studies and my health, and to lead me to the right man to ensure my marriage was not delayed beyond a certain age. There are many goddesses, and each god serves a different purpose in life.
I used to kneel and pray in front of the Hindu altar in my house. I asked God to talk to me and show
