About this ebook
It’s not always easy to find time for yourself. As a result, you press on and make excuses. You’ll do it when you “have the time”, as though time will magically appear someday on your schedule. Besides, self-care isn’t really very important, is it? This mindset is based on flawed thinking on two points. First, self-care has to take a lot of time. Second, self-care doesn’t really matter.
A problem is that we sometimes think of self-care in terms of indulgence.
Self-care is about doing what’s best for you. It’s knocking a little stress out of your day. So, while fantasy vacations sound great, the reality is much closer to taking a walk out in the fresh air. Drinking more water or getting more sleep. Self-care doesn't involve a huge time investment. This guide can help you make self-care a priority in your life.

Introduction
How are you?
In your lifetime, you’re probably going to be asked this a few thousand times. Or at least it seems like you are. The problem is, when a question becomes so common, it carries less meaning. We answer, Fine
without thinking, an automatic response much like saying Hello.
But are you fine? Really?
All too often, we’re busy. Stressed. There’s just too much going on in the day and we’re already short on time. We’re not as fine as we like to pretend we are. If we’re honest, we’re probably not spending as much time on ourselves as we ought to. In short, we’re neglecting self-care.
If you think self-care isn’t a big deal, then consider these statistics taken from various studies:
75% of people are chronically dehydrated
30% of Americans are overweight
70% of people feel like they don’t get enough sleep at least once a month
(11% having trouble sleeping regularly)
75% of Americans are tired before they even show up to work.
17% of Americans are anxious
7% are depressed
If you just winced from reading this list, you’re not alone. No, we are not fine, and it’s time we did something about it.
In this book, we’re going to explore the importance of self-care. We’re going to show you how to build new habits which will help you practice better self-care. How? Well, you’re going to want to keep this book handy, because we’re going to explore a new self-care strategy every month. By this time next year, you’re going to feel like an entirely different person.
So, get ready to dig in. It’s going to be an exciting new year leading
