The author is a passionate teacher of the Word of God. He is Counsellor by profession and is pursuing Masters in Counselling Psychology. He holds a BA in Biblical Studies, a BsHons in Counselling and a Masters degree in Leadership & Management. He is the Dean of Students at Africa Multination for Christ College (AMFCC) Bible College belonging to one of the fastest growing churches in the world Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA FIF Ministries International). 1. It is with great honour and privilege that I write a foreword for this book. This book presents literature which is a treasure to couples who want to succeed in their marriages. It is a book that provides guidance by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through His servant. Pastor Edward Zimbili uses this book as a vehicle for sharing the 7 pillars of marriage with us.

FULLFILED MARRIAGE is a must read for both young and older couples. Marriage, as an institution established by God, is a blessing from Him and meant to be enjoyed.  The author has provided simple and practical ways of teaching, guiding, and motivating couples to enjoy their marriages. It is a book that makes couples reflect on their marriages and challenges them to be responsible couples.

In the light of the foregoing, this book motivates us to take our stand in love relationships. Pastor Zimbili notes that finances, communication, relatives, sexual relationship amongst others are the pillars of marriage life. As an author, academic, and a married individual, I endorse this book as a useful guide to be used to show the way of fulfilled marriages.

THE 7 PILLARS OF MARRIAGE

Marital conflicts are created by not adhering to the real meaning of marriage, communication, finance handling, handling of relatives, sexual relationship, spiritual relationship and having a marriage counsellor which we learnt in our 25 years of marriage as ‘the 7 pillars of marriage’.

Ignorance contributes to the unhealthy marriages because couples do not value the 7 pillars of marriages. People try to use their philosophies in trying to fix marriages. This book addresses the 7 pillars of marriage from a biblical perspective.

This book will assist couples to identify their shortcomings and learn to address them, so that they enjoy and not to endure their marriages.

Our strategy in helping couples to resolve marital conflicts is by focusing on the 7 pillars of marriage as a mirror whereby each spouse identifies their own flaws and rectifies them.

We have used these 7 pillars of marriage in our life, in our counselling sessions and marriage enrichment seminars. They have proved to be helpful and effective.

In 25 years of our marriage, we have learnt a few lessons. We discovered what we call The Seven Pillars of Marriage which may be of help to young couples if taken seriously. These are Communication, Finance Management, Handling of Relatives, Sexual Relationship and Spiritual Relationship.

We have used them during marriage counselling sessions and for pre-marital counselling. People from different backgrounds (younger couples, older couples and people from different social, economic, cultural and religious backgrounds) have benefited immensely from the seven pillars of marriage
