How to Start a Small Business - Bryce Besherse
Preface
When I started my first business, I had no prior training, collegiate education, or formal experience to rely on in the business field. Nothing I had learned in school had actually prepared me to start my own business. After months of collecting my ideas, putting together a business plan, and organizing my funds, I was completely stuck when it came time to form my business entity. I had never learned any of the steps necessary to operate and maintain a business legally, and after facing this realization, I quickly became stressed.
I was clueless on what steps to take, or in what order to take them. The business forming procedure was not linear by any means, even after I had learned the ropes. I realized that without the counsel of family or friends who had previously started businesses of their own, I would have to hire a business professional for a consultation, and probably pay outrageous fees with the funds that were supposed to be going into my own business investments.
I was intimidated, but I toughed it out and sacrificed my free time to learn the steps necessary to get my small business off the ground. After all was said and done, wiping the sweat from my brow, I made a resolution to organize a simple, step-by-step guide that anyone could follow to effectively and independently start their Sole Proprietorship, LLC, or other small business entity.
My goal is that this book will provide you with the assistance that I was desperately searching for on my journey. After all, your free time should be spent implementing your success, not scrolling through internet forums trying to connect dots. You don’t need expensive business advice, or anyone to form your entity for you. I have tread the path before you, and now I’m here to show you the way. Let’s dive in!
