INTRODUCTION
Paul Warren Fairman (1909–1977) was an editor and writer under his own name and several pseudonyms (including Robert Lee and Mallory Storm, plus a number of house names
). He became active in fiction magazines starting in 1947 and worked well into the 1950s, before beginning to transition to novel writing. As an author, he published extensively in the science fiction, mystery, and erotica genres. Notably, he wrote the Sherlock Holmes part of Ellery Queen’s A Study In Terror (1966), in which Ellery Queen finds a previously unknown Sherlock Holmes manuscript. He also published several novels based on scripts from television series such as One Step Beyond and That Girl, as well as movies such as City Under the Sea. His erotica included entries in The Man
