Mystical Story by Daniel Falco
Epic poem about the occult power of dark magic ...
Mystical story
After Historia Bellica, the epic adventure of the young Bricherasian poet Daniel Falco continues with a second poem, fascinatingly entitled Mystical Story. If in the previous poem it was the brave Aliseo to fight against the Dark Forces and the Destroyers of Worlds that threaten Cosmic Harmony, here it is Milena, daughter of Trade Winds and Maya, to measure herself against the Occult (and Ancient) Power that Humanity wants submissive and slave.

LITERARY PREFACE

Muse,of what is present, future, past to me, sing nothing about it: but you remember another song.
Giovanni Pascoli, Epic poetry in Rome.
After Historia Bellica the epic adventure continues by the young Bricherasian poet Daniel Falco with a second poem, fascinatingly entitled Historia Mistica.
If in the previous poem it was the brave Trade Wind to fight against the Dark Forces and the Destroyers of Worlds that threaten Cosmic Harmony, here it is Milena, daughter of Trade Winds and Maya, to measure herself against the Occult Power (and Ancient) that wants the submissive Humanity and slave.
Daniel Falco is passionate about Epic but, in this new poem, it seems to me that purely epic tones tend to be remodeled into more elegiac tones. Probably, this is also due to the fact that, the protagonist of the poem, this time is a heroine, a female creature who, although expert in the use of weapons and endowed with the audacity necessary for a warrior, emanates from her deepest being that sensitivity and that wholly womanly perspicacity that contribute not a little to marking a decisive turning point compared to the previous Poema di Aliseo
.
Although the versification and the poetic style still reveal the long way to go to reach the full power of the epic inspiration, in this second poem by Daniel Falco you can taste a particularly intriguing narrative vivacity and freshness of inspiration, combined with an undoubted capacity for reflection (also philosophical) on the main problems of human existence.
In some respects, as I said above, the poem seems to me more elegiac
than epic
. The continuous use of dialogue makes some passages more introspective, the narrative tones are not omnipresent in the wide poem, the lyrical moments are copious and emerge here and there between the stanzas, as if to spread glimpses of serenity (linked to Nature, to the movements of the heart, to the most sublime aspirations of the spirit) even in the midst of the hard struggle that Humanity, embodied by Milena, must support against the Dark Powers, the Occult Forces and against those Arcane Insidiators who pull the nebulous strings of that disturbing Global Plot
of which, in recent years, so much is rumored ...
The character of Milena, symbolic and emblematic, endowed with intense poetic vigor, stands well outlined on the intricate scenarios of this mystical history
, offering us a female figure who, at the same time, knows how to combine strength and courage with the grace and sweetness that they are (or should still be) typical of female nature.
This Mystical History constitutes therefore a second, important stage, in Daniel Falco's arduous, onerous but exciting journey towards the full achievement of epic maturity: a commendable and noteworthy effort, especially in a dull, scipid and insipid era like this one, must every Ideal it now seems to have faded and where the very idea of Poetry seems to sink inexorably into the fetid miasma of the prevailing television flatness. And it's not cheap, believe me!

TECHNICAL PREFACE
Do not it is so easy to meet individuals who are culturally and intellectually open to dialogue at 360 degrees.
I often on the contrary, we happened to talk to people who knew everything (or almost ...) about a branch of science or human knowledge and, I assure you, beyond the pleasure of listening to them, in many cases there came a moment in which the speech it faded from an inexorable lack of arguments and a sense of embarrassment appeared.
This cannot be said for Daniel Falco (whom I have had the opportunity to attend in recent years), whose young age must not be misleading at the level of acute and broad intellect. If, in fact, I met him in a context of poetry writing and poems (which is quite unusual and in any case deserving for a young man of our Technological Era
) and if his production has since expanded in this sense ( after The Light of Fate
, La notte senz'alba
was also released for Hogwords), I noticed a significant turning point in the subsequent work Historia Bellica
. Here our author has revealed his openness of interests, writing about poetry (his first love), but also inserting a historical-technological appendix (let's not forget his technical-engineering studies ...), going to address other topics - very interesting for me - about discoveries and technologies used already in the distant past and today, albeit highlighted by the studies of avant-garde researchers and scholars, still not believed and often questioned, if not ridiculed.
Already. Harvest in doubt. And by whom? From those who, holders of academic and university baronies, of texts perched
