Chapter SeparatorOnce upon a time, in the remote country of Lapland, there was a young female elf who worked for a white-bearded middle-aged man named Santa Klaus. She had been hired a few years back as a production employee, after hearing rumors of the famous Christmas compound looking for additional workforce for the busy holiday season.
The job was more than well-paid, was accommodated directly on site, and the working atmosphere was quite enjoyable. The young lady, whose name was Angela, had formed a few close friendships with her fellow Winter elves; and she even got to speak with her boss, Mr. Klaus, who happened to be quite the charming man.
There was one more person than Angela met in Lapland: Mrs. Klaus.
She was Santa’s wife; a tall, beautiful woman with long platinum hair that reached her hips. She appeared quite agreeable and cheerful on the outside, but there was something about her that Angela found unsettling.
Something dark.
And the more she walked past Mrs. Klaus, the more intrigued Angela got. She wondered if she would ever be able to get to know the lady better.
One day in December, the busiest time of the year in this part of the world, Angela was caught by Mrs. Klaus as she was going to start a new day of work.
Miss Valtameri, could you come with me please?
the silver hair woman requested.
The sudden call startled Angela; she turned to her lady boss and gaped at her; not sure she was really the one being summoned.
Miss Valtameri…?
Mrs. Klaus repeated, raising an eyebrow.
Angela blushed and rushed to lady Klaus’ side.
Y-yes!
The pretty woman grinned and motioned Angela to follow her.
They walked silently in the long and narrow corridors of the house. Angela was mesmerized by Mrs. Klaus’ figure, who seemed to float gracefully upon the wooden floor, her long silver hair flowing like waves behind her. The young elf was so deep in her thoughts that she did not see her chief halt her steps. Angela bumped hard against her back and jumped back immediately.
I-I’m so sorry!!
she yelped in disarray.
For some reason, she found Mrs. Klaus really intimidating, and could not look her straight in the eyes.
A short chuckle escaped the tall lady’s lips, Quite the air head, aren’t you, Miss Valtameri?
Angela nodded, her face now adorned with a crimson red tint. The amused smile remained on Mrs. Klaus’ lips as she opened the heavy door to her office.
Come in,
she said, keeping the door open for Angela.
The latter slowly entered the room, her head lowered in embarrassment. She stepped at the center of the office and remained still on the blue round carpet on the floor. Lady Klaus passed by Angela to go to her desk, and her rosy, exquisite perfume trailed behind her, making Angela’s eyes flutter.
The platinum haired woman rested
