WORKING WOMEN: SUPPORT OF FAMILY HEALTH

    1. By way of introduction

A study was carried out through home interviews in low income people of Santa Rosa, La Pampa, with a sample of twenty women-mothers between 21 and 45 years old.

BETWEEN THE '60 AND THE '80 WOMEN'S ACCESS TO ECONOMIC RESOURCES, INCOME AND EMPLOYMENT WAS DETERIORATED, BUT THEIR WORKLOAD INCREASED; THEY ALSO DROPPED THEIR LEVELS OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND NUTRITION

THE ECONOMIC ADJUSTMENT THAT HAS LED MANY WOMEN TO JOIN THE LABOR MARKET, BREAKS THE TRADITIONAL DIVISION OF LABOR

THE CRISIS HAS FORCED many people to implement economic survival strategies, such as self-consumption, self-employment, scavenging, activities such as childcare, sale of soft drinks, etc., all jobs that have a transitory nature and that aim to to increase family income.

The strategies of the flesh and blood characters

Case 1: Single mother and textile worker: Susana

This is the case in which women must combine raising children with extra-domestic work, with
