I dedicate this book to all the people who have the diagnosis of bipolar. May you find peace and a life of love. Thank you also to the decent therapists and doctors who treat us well and help us to heal.
I also want to acknowledge my family for their presence and for providing me with resources to facilitate aspects of my recovery.
Thank you to Spiderwize for transforming my words into a book form.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional person in the medical field. I am a simple human being, wanting to share some of the experiences I’ve had as I’ve gotten better, along with the skills I’ve developed to keep myself feeling well most of the time. Please seek medical advice if you are having problems with your bipolar. Left untreated bipolar is serious.
INTRODUCTION
This is a short and concise guide to how I’ve improved my skills in living with the condition of bipolar. It is not at all prescriptive. This is simply the way I’ve done it and I continue to learn through a process of trial and error. It’s working for me now and I keep improving and moving forward. You need an approach that works best for you. You are probably already doing some things right. It’s about taking note of what those things are and continuing to build on them.
I’ve stripped back the information in this little book a lot because I don’t want to make it heavy for you or get you entangled with my story when you have yours to deal with. I also wanted to make it short and sweet so you don’t feel overwhelmed with too much information. I’ve found, through my experience of reading a lot of books, that it was often the shorter ones that I benefited from the most. I was able to concentrate better and get a sense of accomplishment quicker that I’d finished it!
I will move through my story as follows: I’ll talk about the beginning, the middle and then mention how I (and perhaps you) may plan to move onwards.
Simple!
I hope that you find the book enjoyable, informative and I hope some parts will resonate with your own experiences and with the thoughts or feelings you’ve had along
