When she hears someone outside her house in the darkness of evening a young woman takes no chances and calls the police. She and the officer take a look when he arrives to find that clothes have been stolen from her washing line. The unnerving sound came to Constance again. The first time it happened she wasn’t sure if it was just her fertile imagination, but there was no denying it this time.
