Doc Gordon and the team of veterinarian assistants pulled up to the stables and spotted a ranch hand frantically motioning for them to follow. When they parked, Carina braced herself as her co-worker, Seth, loaded the bag of feed over her shoulder while the other crew members followed the doctor.

They’d decided in the car which assistants would carry supplies to investigate the feed and who would help the vet. Since she’d been originally trained for investigative work, she’d volunteered alongside Seth. Trailing the team, they asked the ranch hand where they kept their feed and broke off in the direction which he pointed.

Since the bags bore special markings, anyone could see that they were different. Nonetheless, they placed them well-away from the regular food before starting an inspection. The owner, Mark Sebastian, had been frantic when he’d stated that his horses were refusing to eat.

Carina frowned at the bag she’d just pulled from the bunch, Seth, look at this.
