Sierra was squinting at her computer screen when the alarm from her home security system blared alongside the tinkling of glass. She froze before collapsing her document to access the cameras just in time to see the intruder slip through her back door. Grabbing her laptop, she raced for her safe room.

As the auto lock function engaged, she brought up the video connected to Southbound Securities and informed them of her location. They reassured her they were on their way and the police would be there shortly. With her heart slamming in her chest, she curled up on the chair and anxiously waited.

Trying to kill time, she pulled up her research once again but couldn’t concentrate so she gave up. A knock on her door sounded and a familiar voice told her to enter a code. Frowning as she quickly did so, she heard another click before the door swung open to Brad Krauss.
