Remy was laughing with his friends at the beach grilling up steak and chicken when he happened to look up for no apparent reason. His laugh came to a grinding halt. Oh shit. Remy whispered under his breath.

Brandon looked over at Remy nudging at him to pass him another beer. When Remy didn’t he looked up and saw the fixed expression on his face. He looked liked he’d seen a ghost. Dude, what’s going on? Get me a beer, Brandon said nudging him again.

When Remy didn’t respond he looked in the direction Remy was looking. Then he saw. Oh damn... Brandon’s voice trailed off. Hey man... He attempted to get Remy’s attention but it was pointless.

Remy ran his hand over his face as though he was trying to shake the sight that stirred his soul. He got up from the table to run after her when Brandon stopped him abruptly.

Last time she saw you Remy you were with a stripper getting more than a lap dance. You remember that? Brandon asked gently reminding him of his indiscretion. All of your clothes and belongings were outside of your house in less than an hour. They had to call the cops? Remy, don’t go there. Eden isn’t going to want anything to do with you.

I want her back Brandon. Remy yanked his arm away and sat down.

You didn’t want her back five minutes ago. Brandon said harshly.
