    Somehow Lori had managed to get an afternoon off from her hectic job in the financial district and headed home, filled only with thoughts of a warm bath and relaxation. Hopefully her husband Steve, who worked from home, would be tied up with work. She truly needed a bit of alone time.

      Another long day at work was coming to an end, and none too soon for Lori. It had been a stressful morning and she had decided to take the afternoon off to divest herself of some of the stress of the day so far. She had floated through her lunch imagining the scented bath which awaited her.

      Hopefully Steve, her husband, would be out or at least too busy to bother her. There were perks to having a husband who worked out of the house, but this was a time she'd rather have the house to herself for a few hours of peace and quiet.

      She pulled into the garage, seeing Steve's BMW parked inside. So much for that idea, but that was okay. It was a fairly large house after all and there was more than enough room for the two of them without stepping on the other's toes.

      She turned off the car and went inside, putting her briefcase on the granite kitchen counter top and tossing her keys nonchalantly beside them.
