Awareness

Numbness surrounds us all each and every day,

and we don’t even realize

the profoundness that is interwoven

in the essence of our lives.

From birth to death,

there is a supernatural element

hiding in the shadows, guiding us

through each moment in time -

a time that doesn’t really exist

but an imaginary

measurement that governs

our spiritual journey.

Humanity has the ability to

embrace the elements of life

that makes sense, and to

tuck inconsistencies away

in small corners of the brain,

for the truth before us

is sometimes just too complicated

to understand.

Great scientists of the past

used simple instruments to confirm

that both time and space bend in the

heavenly space above sweet earth.

What does this mean,

you may ask,

for all that it’s worth

is a line of prose

in scholarly textbooks.

The connection of

knowledge and spirituality

is broken at best,

for many of us arise each morning

with no thought of the rest,

just to robotically move forward

each minute of ‘time’

until our pilgrimages on this
