About this ebook

“Have you ever been outside playing, and it starts raining? It’s fun to feel the water dripping down your face. If the sun is out, be sure to look for the rainbow in the sky.” —Light Feather, Winter Tales

Life on Earth has been traced to the sea. No water...no life! In Winter Tales we take a dive into winter’s watery expression. “Fear is our friend. It can protect you from danger, such as a wildfire. Don’t let it get out of control and cause you such a fright,” Sunny Bear’s Momma shared.

In Nature Connections, we all heal when we care deeply for Mother Earth and share love, kindness, and compassion. Welcome to Winter Tales, Part 4, the final season of the 4 seasons. We learn how water gives life and connects us all. If we protect Mother Earth and her gifts, she is going to take care of us. Experience nature’s truth as it feeds your mind, body, and spirit.

Whether exploring the neighborhood woods or playground adventures, Elle was outside from early morning until dusk. As she grew, her fascination with words grew too.She received an urgent message from Spirit that she was holding ancient wisdom that needed to be shared with children. From there, Nature Connections was born. One of her roles in life was to become a pollinator of nature’s wisdom and share it with children in fun, fanciful stories. After leaving corporate life at 58, Spirit led her into the world of alternative and energy healing. Through her deep connection with nature, she was led to study Plant Spirit Medicine. She was a late bloomer but right on schedule with destiny. As a college graduate from Appalachian State University, she became a pioneer for women in business during the mid-70s and was hired into positions traditionally held by men. For example, she was the first female Zone Representative in the Carolinas for Ford Motor Company, a Vice President of Sales for Ceridian Corporation and culminating her career as an Executive Director of Learning & Development for a 26,000-employee pharmaceutical research organization, Quintiles, before departing in 2012.She acknowledges we are living in extraordinary times and everyone needs to awaken to what really matters: we are all connected through nature as one!

    Nature Connections - Elle Travis

    Sunny Bear and His Shadow

Hi boys and girls, I’m Light Feather! I’m happy you’ve come to join me for story time. You may have noticed my color for winter is blue. Do you want to know why I love to hide? It’s because I get scared easily and I don’t want to be seen. Do you ever hide from something that scares you?

We will learn about a feeling called fear and how it protects us from losing something. Fear shows up when we start sensing danger. It calls us to notice and to decide whether to run away or be brave and look at what may be scary. When we face our fear and call it by name, we may find it’s no longer scary.

Ms. Cheryl is just beginning her story time with the children. See if you can find me hiding in 3 pictures in this story! Here we go…

Today I’d like to share a story about Sunny Bear, his momma and papa and brother Max and how they are getting ready for winter, said Ms. Cheryl…
