Assess Your Situation
Where You Are Now
What exactly are you feeling right now? Do you feel sad? Angry? Jealous? Betrayed? Rejected? Abandoned? You probably feel so bad that it seems like time has suddenly stopped and the world has just ended or you wish it were so. It hurts like hell, doesn’t it? The question is do you want to stay that way or do you want to feel better?
Where You Want to Be
If I were you, I’d want to be free from all the pain that broke my heart. I’d want to smile genuinely again. I’d want to be a person so much better than I am now so that I’d never have to face the same situation or even if I did, I wouldn’t be as miserable as I feel now. I’d want to look hotter, stronger and more successful than I’ve ever been. If I were in your shoes, I’d want to be happy again.
How Do You Plan on Getting There?
You can reach your goal crawling, walking, jogging or running even. The pace is exactly up to you. It does not matter how fast or slow you go. What matters is that you are moving...moving away from where you are now and towards where you want to be.
How do you begin? Well, you can start by following these steps I suggest. Some of the steps are interchangeable and you may even want to add some steps of your own. For now, you can start with these.
STEP 1: Cry Your Heart Out
Are you crying right now? Good. Keep it up. No, I’m not kidding nor am I teasing you. It’s really the first step I would recommend.
Some people don’t want to cry after a heartbreak. Why? I’m not sure. It could be a variety of reasons. Probably, they’re still in denial. Or maybe they’re too angry that they’d rather strangle the person who broke their heart than cry. Perhaps they don’t want to look miserable. Perhaps they prefer to look cool and unaffected. Maybe they don’t want to show how hurt they are
