Synopsis

Jenni, 16 years old teenager, with long dark brown hair and glasses. She has some normal looks. But at school, she is bullied, for being calm, shy, a little nerdy, and too studious.

She has two other classmates:

Clara, who is taller, older (17 years old) had already failed school for two years. Short shoulder length hair, black. Spider's web tattoo on the neck, a nose ring.

Andrea, who is ebony, hair curled to her shoulders.

At school, some of the bad-tempered classmates who are the class bullies are:

Adrian McCall (Boy). Tall, 16 years old, always smoking and drank. Red-haired, with freckles on his face.

Lia Riggs (girl), 16 years old. Tall, blonde with brown eyes, always perfumed and made up, she dressed in expensive clothes.

But rarely dress or skirt, she more commonly wore pants, to show off her body lines.

Leonie Sampson. Chubby and not so cute. But she is kind of punk, dyed pink hair and was from a wealthy family so the others always walked with her in the circle of friends.

She bought their affection in a way, paying for tobacco and drinks (which her older brother get for her).

Those were always humiliating and mistreating Jenni (the main character).

Hotpotchapter01

The alarm rang with a shrill sound, it was 07.00 am in the city of Atlanta, Georgia (USA). Jenni turned to the other side of the bed and let out a frustrated sigh.

- Another exhausting day, here I go. - said Jenni.

She got out of bed slowly, still almost without energy and put on her clothes, slowly buttoning her shirt. She is just 16, but like to wear adult clothed as a little executive. It was what gave her a sense of difference from every other person in the school. For a reason she couldn't quite explain, she just loved to have something that was for her alone amidst many other people who were just like her or should be like her.

She took her glasses and put them on her face.

- Jenni breakfast is ready! - her mother shouted from the lower floor of the house.

- I'll be there!  - Jenny yelled back.

It was a usual habit to yell at each other every Monday to Friday, especially Jenni, unlike her mother, was not a fan of getting up early and never made it down for breakfast early enough. Most times, she ended up munching on her food in the car on the way to school.

When Jenni got downstairs, a plate of pancakes with honey and a cup of coffee was waiting for her with her parents seated by each other, making small conversations and waiting for her before they all ate.

Then they got into the car, a black Nissan Altima SL.

On the way to school despite her mother trying to make small talk with her, Jenni puts on her headphones to get zoned out from all them. She loved her mom but if it meant she wouldn't calm herself down before getting to school with her music, she wouldn't be interested in it.

Despite everyone being a fan of rock or classical music, she loved just one kind of music. The one and only Acid House from the 89/90s. It was the only thing that felt like music to her and anything else was not music to her no matter how much anyone tried to put it. 

- Another horrible day at school. - she thought with her face inward.

She loved to study and loved those whom she had somehow managed to be friends with but there are some faces like that of Leonie or Adrian or the popular bitch of the school, Lia always make her extraordinarily sick and made her hate the idea of school.
