Our Maker's Master Plan
()
About this ebook
Our Maker’s Master Plan connects scientific thought with scriptural truth. Looking back through the biblical account of Creation, it joins the dots, pointing towards our wonderful God-ordained destiny.
Honest answers to many puzzling questions, drawn from the treasures of scripture and the bounty of science. Common questions with uncommon answers; of challenges countered by out-of-the-ordinary responses.
This is not Creation Science as some might expect; it is something completely different.
Science is not always right, and neither is religion. Our Maker’s Master Plan counters many traditional interpretations of the Bible, to focus on scriptural truths.
Some conclusions will surprise readers who must weigh the validity of the arguments for themselves. The author unapologetically stands on the infallibility of the Bible, demonstrating that scientific facts and scriptural truths are not in conflict.
God’s blueprint for Creation, designed so long ago, points to something beyond our wildest dreams which can only to be fully realized when Creation achieves adulthood.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
INTRODUCTION
Why write a book like this? … It has become clear that astrophysics, palaeontology, evolutionary theory and archaeology have been progressively chipping away at the biblical account of creation, without a credible defence being mounted by Christians. Instead, the Church has doggedly placed its head in the sand, afraid of what faith-destroying evidence it might be confronted with should it open its mind to scientific discoveries. Creation Science has tried desperately to add scientific reason to the Genesis account but has departed so drastically from classical science that it has gained very little acceptance.
The Bones of Our Ancestors
Ever since the bones of dinosaurs and our humanoid ancestors have been dug from the ground science has used these discoveries to denounce the Bible as mythical nonsense, preferring an atheistic viewpoint. The enduring conflict of faith versus fact, of science versus religion, is presented herein. Each dogmatically vies for pre-eminence but science seems to be gaining the upper hand, in the western world at least.
Science is not always right, which may surprise some; but neither is religion, which will not surprise anyone. Conflict is unnecessary if each would simply look a little deeper into the vaults of truth so preciously guarded by the other. Unfortunately, this conflict is unavoidable, but perhaps a few can be spared from the destruction of their faith by reading this treatise. Science is bringing more and more atheistic doctrines to the table, where they are readily digested by many who, if the truth be known, simply prefer sin to the knowledge of God.
Christianity stands idly by with very little to offer but outdated dogma, too easily dismissed by the egotistical smirks of science. Religion has held to some medieval interpretations of scripture, thinking that any departure from long held tenets is blasphemous. Jesus Himself encountered this misguided tendency in the Pharisees who had enshrined traditions of man as irrefutable doctrine.
Not Creation Science
Within these pages creation and science meet, not as adversaries, but as allies, each supporting God’s truths and creative achievements. Yet they do not meet in the halls of Creation Science as some might expect. They engage each other with a listening ear and an understanding heart. One is not the supplanter of the other. Indeed, some long-held tenets on both sides are best suited to the trash can.
We will explore the biblical account of creation as a fundamental truth but with new scientific light on the process. We will approach the subject in layman’s language, hopefully making things a bit more digestible to those who might flee from science talk. Neither will we delve too deeply into scientific mechanisms. Only broad-brush strokes colour the claims, the detail of which can be validated through further personal research if the reader is so disposed.
Christianity meets science, and science meets Christianity in Our Maker’s Master Plan. The endgame is the showdown of genuine faith versus atheism, not religion versus science as some may falsely assume. For science pursues truth just as religion does, only in a different realm. Science lays claim to the natural and religion to the supernatural.
Answers to Puzzling Questions
At times, the author has been critical of science; at other times of theology, for the truth of our existence lies somewhere between the two, but never in the abandonment of scripture. Neither is in any real conflict, for both must arrive at their respective destinations without compromise … genuine truth where spiritual meets natural.
Many puzzling questions are raised with honest attempts to answer them by drawing upon the treasures of scripture and the bounty of science. As such, it is a book of common questions with uncommon answers; of objections countered by out-of-the-ordinary responses. As you read you will feel the age-old pull of intellect against faith, the clash of spiritual against material. The tussle is real to our senses, and even though the two must eventually meet on common ground, one must take sides when conflict arises.
Speculation, theory and scriptural interpretation have been injected into these pages. The arguments herein are not presented as undeniable or absolute … just opinions, but opinions a little out-of-step with current theological AND scientific thinking. However, it must be said from the beginning … the Bible is the infallible Word of God and upon this ground the author takes his stand.
Eventually Spiritual Truths Dominate
The physical universe has a spiritual origin, and all creation groans to realise its spiritual purpose. Surpassing the understanding of science, spiritual truths must eventually be fully grasped and applied by the followers of Jesus. For out of this realm science must yield to the dynamics of the Kingdom of God where the authority of God is operational, often overwhelming the meagre conquests of science and technology. For religion holds truths far exceeding our flimsy scientific advances, although such revelations must await their time when the groaning of creation and the Church climax to engender the qualities of Jesus into the sons of God, and out into our afflicted earth.
CHAPTER 1
IN THE BEGINNING … GOD
The Apostle Paul tells us that a great falling away will precede the coming of the Antichrist.¹ This is generally referred to as The Great Apostasy. It is characterised by many rejecting the truths of scripture, presumably turning towards atheism. This event is already being catalysed around the world today. Broadly speaking, it is the worldly belief that science is always right and that religious truths are being proved erroneous, paving the way for educated people to spurn the teachings of the Bible. This conflict is baseless if we will simply open our eyes a little wider …
In the Beginning, God …
The Bible tells us that God created the earth and the universe in which it exists. God
