Dedication
Idedicate this book in honor of and in loving memory of my dad, Carson. He encouraged me to write this book because-It will be a blessing to someone else who is or has experienced this same thing.
Dedication II
To my husband Carlton , THANK YOU for your support. Thank you for your willingness to stay in the trenches and your determination to come up on the other side TRIUMPHANT! It’s true what you were spiritually led to say, Not now doesn’t mean not never
.
Introduction
To my readers: I don’t know what sparked your interest to pick up this book, maybe the title or the illustration on the front cover. Maybe you’re using this literature as supporting evidence for a book report, speech, or college presentation. Some of the excerpts could be used as an opening for a church group discussion. Many endless assumptions.
One fact remains however, you will close this book with your own opinion and optimistically view your time well spent.
Chapter 1|The Journey Begins
Finally, we had a moment to be alone! I was some kind of nervous, something like a first-date nervous. We sat on the couch.....quiet. You-could hear-a-pin drop on-the carpet. I looked to my right—there he was. He looked to his left—there I was. We both looked down between us and there it was.
The silence was finally broken. You’re pregnant
, Carlton said. I’m pregnant
, I responded. My response was followed by more silence.
So THAT explains a whole lot, I thought. THAT’S why I had those sudden losses of energy yesterday and today. THAT’S why I threw up the blueberries I ate the previous week. THAT’S why I was yawning more. I really thought it was due to our family visiting us. We showed them around and our usual routine was off a bit.
Guess not!
Good thing they were on the plane heading back home, because we really needed to be alone to even begin to process this news. The best thing we could do was call it a night and get some rest. Especially me.

You can imagine how difficult it was to keep baby news to ourselves. BUT first, we had to get a second opinion.
