Preface

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

This is a wonderful promise given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. God’s desire for His children is for them to possess a deep and abiding peace that only He can give. The desire of this author’s heart is to encourage Christians to seek His true and lasting peace in their lives and live victorious in Him. This world and the things of this world cannot give us peace. The prophet Isaiah prophesied more than seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus, revealing one of Jesus’ titles as The Prince of Peace.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

Jesus came to redeem us from the darkness of sin and destruction that entered in after the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden. He came to seek and save that which was lost, leaving us His Word to direct our path through this life and beyond. This present world is filled with individuals burdened with worry and fear for themselves and their loved ones. They are desperately searching for peace but many times seek it from all the wrong places.

This book is written to guide the reader to the true place of peace that can only come from the One who created us and wants to give us all good things from above. We must have God’s peace in our lives before we can experience the deep and abiding joy that stays with us during the good
