About this ebook

I stared into his eyes and whispered said,
"What if I wanted more?"

"More?" he said.

"What if I don't want to only be your friend?"

I'll Give You Forever - Luna Moon

    Taylor

    Valentine’s day...

I was sitting in a restaurant waiting for my friend, Aubrey, to show up when I noticed the predicament the guy in front of me was having.

He was visibly on a date with a girl that seemed a little too eager. It was apparently a blind date, or so I heard. She was going on the whole time about how many children she wanted, her future wedding and all of her exes.

Basically all the things you don’t bring up on a first date.

She even leaned over and cleaned a spot of sauce off of his chin with her spit.

    With her spit!

Like how old was this woman if she was acting like an overprotective soccer mom already.

This seemed to have horrified the guy just as much as it did me. Her back was turned to me so I couldn’t see what this girl even looked like. But his expressions were hilariously visible to me since he was facing me.

He’d pulled so many horrified faces throughout the date. I couldn’t help stifle a laugh every time. Though he didn’t notice me luckily.

Just when my friend called me to let me know she couldn’t make it, something happened at the table in front of me.

The girl got a call from her mother who was apparently nearby. She went on about how she wanted him to meet her parents and that hey, wouldn’t it be a good idea to have them meet them here at the restaurant.

I could see the guy sweating from a mile away.

Considering that I was anyway going to go home right now and that it wouldn’t hurt to have a little fun while doing a good deed, I decided to intervene.

I’d already paid the bill so I casually walked out without her noticing me.

    Outside I laughed and said,

    Here goes nothing.

I rushed inside the restaurant my eyes darting over the room (for effect, you know) and when I spotted him I rushed over.

Thank god I found you! I said.

He looked at me surprised and was about to say something when I made sure to talk before he could.

Grandma’s had a heart attack and she’s being rushed to the hospital.

He still looked at me confused so I said,

We have to leave RIGHT NOW. This might be the last time we get to say goodbye to her.

I guess he finally caught on and said,

You’re right! I can’t believe this has happened again.

He turned to his date and said,

I’m really sorry, Andrea but I have to go my...

No, no, no, she said. It’s fine. I hope she makes it.

Thank you, he said patting her hand, getting up and looking at me.

I said good bye to her and we noped out of there as quickly as we could. Outside he wanted to talk to me but I told him to follow me a bit further away from the restaurant.

Thanks a lot, he said. "I was dying over
