    Exhaustion has finally taken over.

    Weary to my very bones,

    I have no choice,

I must surrender to my sleep.

    My dreams loom ahead,

    This is the one place,

I cannot escape, even from myself,

    From my devastation.

    I can no longer hide.

My face aches from the mask,

    The false smile I wear,

To make it easier on you.

    Too saddened

    To realize how broken.

    Too broken

    To ever heal.

    My cheeks are raw,

    Eyes are swollen,

From all the tears that fall,

    Unknown, Unheard by you,

    Into my pillow each night.

    I cannot pretend anymore,

That I did not love you,

I cannot tell you I am well.

I have never lied to you,

I will not do so now.

    I did love you!

    I do love you!

I am hurt, damaged, and alone.

    I am shattered.

    Captivating

Everything about you draws me in.

Your voice with its soft, melodic, sound is like music.

    Your eyes hold my gaze

like I am hypnotized to only look at you.

When you laugh, your face lights up,

    bright as the sun.

    You are completely captivating.

    I cannot look away.

The truth is, I do not want to.

All the places you have been, things you have seen,

No one would ever know, would ever
