––––––––
The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps
(Proverbs 16:9). God’s way may include not getting promoted at work, losing a friend because of sharing the gospel, getting an incurable disease, and having a tough go of it financially. But the itching ears of the masses long to be told that they can be rich, good-looking, well-known, and healthy, too, because they are told that it is the oracle from God. Without a clear spiritual vision we will be doomed to spiritual weakness (Colossians 1:10-11), compromising (1 Corinthians 1:10), settling (Ephesians 3:20), and even making shipwreck of our faith (1 Timothy 1:19). God desires that we bear abundant fruit (John 15:5), for this is characteristic of the abundant life. Thriving requires a true vision of success, of God’s will, and of how the gospel actually advances. God doesn’t need egotistical superstars; rather, He desires those who will humbly obey, deny themselves for the sake of proclaiming the gospel, and seek not to be served but to serve just as Jesus did (Mark 10:45). That is a vision that will preserve our souls, bring true happiness, and enable us to endure spiritually to the end.

Preface
When I started to write this book, I was thinking of the time’s the Lord has spoken to my about the calling and the ministry. I have been spoken to many people who are in ministry and who are currently busy studying their B.Th. and most of them are talking about the same thing. When they felt the call they have decided to go full time into ministry, one told me that he worked several years before he decided to start his studies into the ministry. He went through so much before he got started; in fact he ended up close to death. Getting into ministry always was in his blood but his choices he made were for his families benefit. I realised that the Lord always allows you to take your own road even if he had called you into ministry. The fact remain when you are called into ministry you are definitely will go through certain steps in order to be ready for ministry. You also find people who think that when the Lord called them into ministry they are ready after they answered yes to that call. Newsflash it is not that easy. Joseph had to wait 17 years before he was ready for the ministry and the call upon his life. David had to wait 25 years before he was ready for the ministry; he had to learn to be submissive under a leader who was no longer the chosen one. Jesus started His public ministry at the age of 30 and for three years He had done the amazing things from healing the blind, cleansing the leprosy and so much more. Starting in your ministry, starts with the lessons you have to learn in order to be ready for the ministry.
I believe that everyone who will read this book will be able to learn some valuable lessons for the ministry. Starting a new job you have to learn the ropes and the cons of the organisation before you can play hard ball of to become the pro in the field of your expertise, the same goes for people who wants to get into ministry and who said yes to the call from the Lord. Working full time is in need to get equipped for the work that needed to be done. Nehemiah had to learn to be without fear in order for him to finish the work in repairing the broken and burn wall. Getting ready and prepared for ministry is a long road for each and every one who said yes to the Lord. I presently started writing at the age of 50 years and I already said yes to the Lord at the age of 20 when I got the feeling I was called full time into ministry. I also have done a lot of other work but every time I was in the midst of people they would remind me of the calling without me telling them of the call. I have run around doing different things but right through my life I remember that I was getting prepared for the call on my life. I am not a pastor but every time I am between young people and church people they would call me pastor. I also remember I was assisting one of our young people who lost her mother and even her family called me pastor and to me that remained a reminder of the call on my life. I was challenge in this year and the whole thing changed everything in my life. I started to write these books and today I have wrote four books and are still busy with five more books and I really love what I am doing right know. I still believe that this is still the beginning of what the Lord have instore for my life. I am still getting prepared for the ministry and I have learnt to wait on the Lord and to follow on the road where He takes me. Preparation for ministry is a book coming from my heart to yours and I hope every reader enjoys and make use of the different tools in this book. Some will agree with me and others will disagree but this is what I have learnt
