Control Your Anger - Javi Martínez

    INTRODUCTION

The author Robert Jones once wrote:

Anger is an universal problem seen in every culture and experienced in every generation. No one is isolated from its presence or immune to its poison. It can saturate a person and ruin some of their most intimate relationships, which are the most affected.

It’s undeniable that anger is part of our daily lives. We live in an era in which people are very sensitive and explode at the slightest provocation. The author Omar Hein relates the current stress and acceleration with the expressions of anger when he writes: Stress destroys our capacity to restrain our impulses. It turns us into a car without brakes that ends up running over the people we love the most. This phrase describes our society which is similar to a breeding ground for anger to occur uncontrollably and do damage in many areas of an individual's life.

Living in the cities of this century forces us to deal with this feeling and the way we manifest it. Whether we get angry fast, slow or thinking we don't, we must deal with anger. To be effective in managing this feeling, we need to dig into what causes it by identifying its triggers. Understanding its triggers and root causes gives us the initial understanding to begin to have greater governance over ourselves. I should mention that anger isn’t bad, in fact, it’s useful to solve our daily conflicts, but only when it’s used in a precise way it won’t leave sequels.

We need to have an emotional education in this sense because our anger management is often deficient. In this book, we’ll discover that God has much to teach us in this regard. Many of us are walking this learning path. As I write, I share firsthand what was helpful to me knowing that it’ll be helpful to you as well.

You will find in this book:

    CHAPTER 1:

ANGER AND RAGE ARE LEGITIMATE FEELINGS

He let loose on them his burning anger, wrath, indignation, and distress, a company of destroying angels.

    (Psalms 78:49)

Frequently, we tend to think that anger is always opposite to God's will, that He doesn't want us to be angry, or that anger is a sin. Regarding this, the author Gary Chapman makes a statement that may be enigmatic: Anger is the evidence that we are made in the image of God. Let's try to understand this reality about anger, God and us.

We know that God is love. This is true, but it’s also true that God is just. How does He feel about injustice? This side helps us to understand that God
