Hello, I'm Connor Whiteley, I am an 18-year-old who loves to write creatively, and I wrote my Brownsea trilogy when I was 14 years old after I went to Brownsea Island on a scout camp. At the camp, I started to think about how all the broken tiles and pottery got there and somehow a trilogy got created. Moreover, I love writing fantasy and sci-fi novels because you’re only limited by your imagination. In addition, I'm was an Explorer Scout and I love camping, sailing and other outdoor activities as well as cooking.Furthermore, I do quite a bit of charity work as well. For example: in early 2018 I was a part of a youth panel which was involved in creating a report with research to try and get government funding for organised youth groups and through this panel. I was invited to Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party and how some of us got in the royal photograph. Finally, I am going to university and I hope to get my doctorate in clinical psychology in a few years.

Fantastical Christmas Volume 2 - Connor Whiteley
SOULCASTER
Snow crunched under my feet as I walked through the beautiful snowy forest, I loved the way the snow blanketed the massive tall pine trees like it was some winter wonderland. This was the first time in years I had felt... good, maybe even good since my wife died, and yet I was here to do something silly.
Up ahead I saw a bright flickering fire with tall shadows of people walking around it, I looked forward to the amazing warmth of those tall flames, anything was better than the bitter cold that was trying to bite at me.
Now I was never a religious person, I hated religion with a passion, but I supposed I had grown so sad, miserable and depressed over the years since my dear sweet wife died, I had grown too desperate.
The smell of cold smoke filled the air wonderfully as it reminded me of my delicious favourite barbecues as a child. I got close to the roaring fire and I started to hear little whispers from the people round the fire.
I knew I had probably gone crazy when I had checked out the online advert for the so-called Soulcaster that could apparently make my life better and allow me to speak to my dead wife one final time.
Absolutely rubbish.
But I saw the online advert a few more times and I guess I got worn down so I clicked on it, checked out the details and decided to come here.
All I knew for sure was this Soulcaster woman (or man) was meant to be some kind of ancient person who had direct ties to the Pagans. Well, given it’s the freezing dead of winter in the southeast of England, I suppose it had to be pagans or whatever.
Not that I know anything about the pagans.
I got closer to the fire and I couldn’t understand it but it looked as if the entire fire had changed since I last focused on it.
Now the fire looked larger with tens of tall, short and medium sized people around it holding out their hands to get warm. I couldn’t blame them. It was freezing out here, apparently the canopy in the forest was meant to give it some warmth but that clearly wasn’t happening.
I heard the whispers clearer now and even then I didn’t understand. Normally I could understand everyone, no matter how bad their English, but these whispers, these people weren’t speaking English. It sounded Latin or something.
Something in the back of my mind wanted me to turn around and never ever return here, but there was a part of me that wanted to continue. It was probably the part of me that decades working as a scientist had developed and matured.
I had to know what was going on here.
I walked straight up to the fire and looked at its roaring, swirling and whirling flames that dramatically rose and fall in defiance of the natural wind that was blowing. But what made me even more curious was how the person in all their different sizes, heights and ethnicities weren’t looking or taking any notice of me.
That was strange.
I looked around and wondered what they were doing, there was no one else around me but still all these people were staring at the fire and whispering in Latin to each other.
Now something inside me was telling me to leave but then I started to hear something like a whooshing sound behind me.
I looked around and saw a massive Christmas tree appear with thousands of lights, baubles and golden tinsel hanging off the tree perfectly. I couldn’t believe my eyes, the tree was so beautiful, perfect and filled the air with the joyous hum of Christmas Spirit.
Walking over to it, my eyes narrowed and I was determined to figure out what this was. I had to channel my inner scientist because there had to be a logical explanation to this, the tree wasn’t there a moment ago, and out of all the strange things I had seen in my life this had to top the list.
Do you know what Soul Day is?
an old lady said to me.
I blinked and jumped.
A little old Lady was hunched over in front of me wearing an ugly long dark cloak with
