About this ebook

A simple method of growing orchids from seed in the average kitchen. No expensive flow chambers or isolation cabinets. No expoensive chemicals.

The meythod is based on using cornstarch, which, for awhile didn't work, as cornstarch was made from GMO corn and carried glyphosate, which will prevent seed from sprouting. It is my understanding that there is cornstarch available that is not made from GMO corn, thus I revised and updated the information for this.

    About the author

CD Moulton has traveled extensively over much of the world both in the music business, where he was a rock guitarist, songwriter, and arranger and in an import/export business. He has been everything from a bar owner to auto salvage (junkyard) manager, longshoreman to high steel worker. He started writing books in 1983 and has published more than 120 books as of January 1, 2012. His most popular books to date are about research with orchids, though much of his science fiction and fantasy work has proven popular. He wrote the CD Grimes, PI, series and the Det. Nick Storie series, among other works.

He now resides in David, Panama’, where he writes the Clint Faraday mystery series and plays music with friends – and pursues his favorite ways to spend his time: beach bum and roaming the mountains.

He is lately active in civil rights concerns for the Indigenous people, the Indios, who he has learned to love.

CD is the discoverer of the Chadam Protocol for curing cancer.

    Foreword

I have written several books about orchid culture. Two were exceptionally well-received, Orchids From Seed for Pennies was the latest highly successful work. I have also written more than 120 books, mostly fiction, that are popular in some areas. The CD Grimes, PI series and the Nick Storie Mysteries are finished, as is the Flight of the Maita (SciFi) series. There are miscellaneous types in several genre. I am now writing the Clint Faraday Mysteries. I base my series of murder mysteries on where I am at a given time, thus CD Grimes and Nick Storie were in Florida, while Clint Faraday is a retired PI from Florida who now lives in Panama’.

This, being an e-book, doesn’t have the pictures and diagrams. You can find those at the above address. Another address concerned with orchids to a great extent is

My main interest, even while I was in music in the sixties and seventies, has been orchids. I was working for the Rod McLellan Company in San Francisco when I went into music.

Be that as it may, I have condensed the orchid books and left out all the technical parts for this. It is a method that, while slower than commercial media, is very cheap and easy. You need no special equipment other than a small pressure cooker and a cardboard box. The chemicals used are common and readily available in most places. Even in the more remote parts of Panama’ you can buy Clorox and Damp Rid. While you haven’t much choice in the basic fertilizer here, there are a number that work very well that are available in even smaller towns, such as Almirante and Puerto Armuelles.

In the former books I included experimental methods others have tried with mixed results. After spending a lot of time and energy trying
