About this ebook

When I decided to pay attention to my life, a transformation began. I began to see everything through a different set of eyes.

I call what I experienced during my transformation "Alchemy of the Mind." In this book, I have attempted to capture that shift in perception starting from within and then projecting it outwards.

    About Author

I want to thank my mother for being a constant source of support for my entire family and me. She has been the rock that has kept this family moving.

I want to thank my father for encouraging me to make my own decisions and giving me the space to fail and try again.

I want to thank my sister for being the best friend anyone could ever ask for; I can't imagine living life with her. She has been there for me through all my trials and tribulations.

Lastly, to my loving and kind brother, thank my brother for constantly showing up in my times of need.

    Introduction

Our thinking creates the world we experience.

I want to be loving, kind.

The human mind has built everything around us, from airplanes to the showerheads we use daily. We must learn to direct our minds in ways that serve us. I learned over the years that my mind is very good at lying to me. It lies to me to protect me. I stumbled across this realization after I started paying close attention to what people were saying or talking about without thinking or putting my spin on it. I noticed that when people were speaking to me, my mind interpreted what they were saying in ways that served me. Our perceptions and knowledge of everything drive us. The mind wants everything to conform to our internal wants and needs, so it distorts our external reality to fit that.

When the pandemic began, I decided to take it seriously and isolate myself from the world. I stayed at home, did not talk to anybody, and did not go out for the first three days. And you would learn later that I changed, that I started to go out, work out, which I constantly do. The first three
