Matt ran to his parents and told them what he’d seen. His parents told him not to worry. Go back to bed, they said. But a few days later, a visit to the doctor confirmed Matt’s premonition.

When Morgan was three years old, she ran into her parents’ bedroom to say that ghosts were pulling her hair and biting her. Her parents reassured her that everything was fine, but Morgan was beginning to yearn for human company.

Bella and Morgan’s friendship surprised those who knew them best. They were opposites in many ways: while Morgan was a serial killer fan, Bella was a mean stories fan. While Morgan was a Vulcan fan, Bella was a Spock fan.
