1 Dreams and Nightmares
Once upon a time…
Long, long ago…
There was a monster.
A thing so twisted it was forced to hide in shadow;
Not for its appearance, nor it’s actions;
Simply because of its existence.
One day, this monster felt the soft touch of an angel.
It wept, for in that moment it knew that it would never be alone again.
The angel’s eyes crinkled with the soft smile towards such a terrifying creature,
And it saw heaven in that moment.
Yet, the angel in time soon saw the monster as others did.
In fact, the angel cast its judgment harsher than any,
Scarring the monster for all to see,
Leaving it crippled as it barely made its way back to the damnable darkness.
Yet, there—there it plotted.
There it saw the truth.
If not even an angel could learn to love it, then it would embrace the lies.
It would embrace the fiction—
Become what they called it;
A monster.
So it
