Foreword
Dear Reader;
It’s past time to update this little guide to my books. For several years, I updated this volume in July, but things got away from me during the pandemic. The last update was two years ago, in the fall of 2020. It’s September 2022 as I write this, so this is the 2022 edition. I’ve made a number of changes to simplify my schedule and give me more time for writing, and we’ll talk about all of them here.
This book is a guide to my books—all of them! The first section features my historical romances published under the pseudonym Claire Delacroix. The second part is about my contemporary romances and paranormal romances published under my own name, Deborah Cooke.
The Books
My books are available in ebook editions and also in print editions. Some are now available in hard cover collectors’ editions. I’ve started to do the hard covers in large print, as well.
Some of you love digital boxed sets, so I always have a number of them available. In addition to the obvious choice of bundling an entire series together, I also create boxed sets based on setting or trope which are available for a short period of time. There’s a page for these on the Claire Delacroix website. I also participate in limited-time boxed sets with other authors, which are fun projects and often themed.
Many of my books are now available in audio editions. Both of my websites have an Audio tab where all of the audiobooks are listed. You can see all of the historical romances and listen to samples on Claire’s website, right here. I haven’t had any of my contemporary romances recorded yet, but have been creating A.I. narrated audiobooks of the Dragonfire Novels. Wyvern’s Mate is also available in an audiobook narrated by Saskia Maarleveld. You’ll find these audiobooks listed here on the Cooke site. The audio samples for my audiobooks narrated by humans are also on my Soundcloud page, right here.
Since my last update, I’ve published many translations of my books, mostly in digital format. There are more of these being published all the time! You’ll find a Translations tab on each of my websites, with separate menus for each language. Here’s the Cooke Translation tab and here’s the Delacroix Translation tab. I also have some new release newsletters (sorted by sub-genre, as in English) for some markets. You’ll find the sign-up links on the book pages and in the books themselves.
My books are available in digital editions through all the major online portals. Print editions can be ordered online from major portals, through your local bookstore, or you can order signed copies from me. There are PayPal buy buttons on my websites for many of my books. You can also email me if there’s something you’d like that isn’t listed and we’ll work it out.
My email is:
deborah@deborahcooke.com
I make my digital books and audiobooks available to libraries through Overdrive, Bibliotheca, and Baker & Taylor, so you can also ask your library to order them.
Wherever you choose to order my books, I appreciate your support!
Reading Order
Where to start? That’s always the question and the more books an author has published, the more complicated that seems! In the second part of this guide, we’ll look at the options. First, there are free series starters, then some bundles of free series starters.
Beyond that, there are different options in terms of reading order, depending on your personal choice and inclination. We’ll look at some other ways to choose your read beyond the obvious selections—you might want to read series starters, or read by trope or read all the works within a fictional realm.
Resources
In 2021, I began to amalgamate my websites as part of my simplification plan. My current websites are:
• DeborahCooke.com
This site lists everything, but links to the other sites for more detail on individual books.
• Delacroix.net
The virtual home of Claire Delacroix and my historical romances.
I still own the domain names for my paranormal romances (DragonfireNovels.com, DragonDiaries.com and DragonsofIncendium.com) but they now point to the PNR tab on the Deborah Cooke website. All of the additional content (like world guides, family trees and character lists) for these series is also available there.
Each website has a blog, which you can follow, where I post news about those books.
My newsletters have moved to a new service in 2022. I still have three newsletter lists:
• Heroes & Happy Endings
For my Deborah Cooke contemporary romances.
• Knights & Rogues
For my Claire Delacroix historical romances.
• Dragons & Angels
For my Deborah Cooke paranormal romances.
You can subscribe to any or all of the newsletters. I send to each list once a month with a regular
