    Prelude

Poetry the art of words formed into poems. Where shapes, colours, sights, sounds, smell and taste form a scope of lie from which a poet is able to draw pictures using words that become life in words.

Within these passages below such words have been chosen to give poetic views about life from love to ponderings that can bewilder the mind for at least a while

    Buckle His Shoe

    There once was a man

    From tin buck too

Stopped by a river with muddy ground too

Who tried to buckle his shoe.

At first he bent down to grasp the buckle tight

Only to fall flat on his face.

Oh dear, oh dear he said to himself

As he stood dusting himself down

This will never do never do at all.

    What ever shall I do.

I know he said rising his finger high

As he turned to lift his foot and place it upon a log so high.

Ah yes, now I can tie a bow like a human.

But when he bent down his knee punched him in the eye.

Oh me, oh my, he moaned shifting his head to the side.

With arms stretching down to buckle to his shoe

His other foot slipped out from under him on the muddy ground

And he fell thumps thump thump with a thud to land upon his rump.

NO! OH NO NO! that is not good he cried

What ever will I do he said as he rose up off the ground

    What ever will I do

Oh, I know, he said with a smirking smile upon his face.

A bright idea had just struck him in the face.

I shall sit down on the log instead.

Then my shoe I shall fit so neat.

So upon the log he sat and leant forward to buckle his shoe.

Oh, NO NOT AGAIN! he cried

Falling face first back down upon the slushy muddy ground.

Oh why, oh why, how will I ever get this buckle tight; he sighed.

I know he said as he sat there in the mud upon the ground

I shall bring my knee back to my chest and then nothing shall stop me.

    And
